Project Description

We began estimating and planning work on this 25 acre new construction project during the summer of 2011. While meeting the owners at the densely wooded setting, Jim immediately recognized their love of the forest and wildlife. The owner had personally cleared the building area and was passionate in maintaining the remaining perimeter of trees. Throughout the next few months, Jim gently urged increasing the clearing size to benefit the home, construction and grade changes. Together they adjusted the placement of the home to accommodate the views most desired by the owners. As the aerial photos show the perfect setting was created, yet the building site is still very cozy and private, while respecting each other’s needs.

More Information

This custom home was first sketched, by the home’s owners. Then it was drafted by Gordon Costlow of Costlow and Associates of Stow Ohio, and then finally tweaked by Julie Yeager of James Yeager Homebuilders Inc.

Once the drawings were finailzed, the home was strategically placed by the owner within a half acre clearing, set back almost 1,000 feet from the road. We carefully adjusted the home’s placemment to grant the views most desirable to the owner, while taking into account the existing grade, utility placement and hillside slope.
